Goo Friday Part Deux

If you watch a lot of daytime TV, and we’re not judging, you may well already be familiar with the David Goo Variety band without even realising it. The outrageously talented 7-piece London outfit provide the soundtrack to the current ‘rightmove.com’ television advert, and having already wowed us twice this year are coming right back to the ‘nham on the 9th of October at the Frog and Fiddle. Cheltenham music lovers, you are privileged.

Mixing rock, funk, punk, folk and even comedy (amongst other musical styles), the David Goo Variety Band are a must see, especially if you haven’t had the chance to do so before. Goo Friday part 1 was a hugh success back in April, with the Frog and Fiddle about as packed as it could ever hope to be, and with the band collecting something of a following here in Cheltenham after that performance and a mesmerising show at this years Swanfest, Goo Friday Part 2 promises to be explosive.

Providing support are local ska favourites Skankt, who need no introduction, as well as indie/ska outfit Coxons Riot and Swindon’s very own Sweet Plums. With a support line up that could pack the house on their own, this is not an event to miss. If you haven’t been to much live music in Cheltenham lately, we’d urge you to mke the effort for this one – opportunities like this to see such a quality line up don’t come around all that often!
