Further top-notch acts roll up for BLOC

More amazing reasons to buy your BLOC tickets while you still can, as we welcome aboard a true superstar from across the pond – Mix Master Mike; named as one of the greatest DJs of all time by USA Today.

After winning three consecutive DMC World Championships, it was rumored that Mix Master Mike was asked to retire from further competitions to give someone else a chance! Mike’s most high-profile work has been with hiphop group the Beastie Boys, working on albums Hello Nasty (1998) and To The 5 Borough (2004), also appearing on The Sound of Science retrospective anthology. Mix Master Mike is now the Beastie Boys’ resident DJ. Since his LP’s for Plug Research and Warp, he’s been in-demand as producer, remixer and live performer all over the globe. We’re welcoming Flying Lotus (born Steven Ellison) into the BLOC mix, an experimental multi-genre artist from California. Combining a pulsing hum of simply sick beats, blissed-out soundtracks of outerspace computer vistas and a cartoonist’s sense of colour on his own productions, FlyLo also runs the massive brainfeeder imprint in the US. You can see why he’s one of the hottest producers in the world right now and will be tearing BLOC apart on the Sunday night.

Also joining the BLOC as it descends on Somerset once more, we welcome aboard Joris Voorn, Deuce DJs feat: Marcel Dettmann & Shed, Subhead LIVE, Matt Whitehead and, making his festival debut the incomparable Omar-S.

Finally, we can also announce Kode 9 will exclusively be playing backtoback with man of he moment – Martyn. Electronic dubstep producer, originally from Eindhoven has more recently turned his hand to producing stunning new forms of electronic music, including the sublime ‘Broken’, a refreshing hybrid of Dubstep and Techno. Fabric 50th release on FabricLive got the treatment a few weeks back.. which promises to further blur the lines between genres.

BLOC is held inside a state of the art holiday resort complex on the West coast of the UK.
There’s no camping, because all BLOC family stay in luxury apartments surrounding the main indoor auditoriums for three nights, so no need to worry about the weather.
