Two Pigs

A town of this size can’t lay claim to the kind of numbers to support businesses that cater solely for metalheads or punks or emos or indie kids but in that weakness the Pigs draws its greatest strength. Bigger cities cultivate pointless rivalries between the alternative subcultures but towns like ours force them together and the Pigs acts as the perfect sanctuary from hangar caverns stuffed with Ben Shermans and the Basshunted and the atmosphere reflects the tolerant and mixed demographic within the nooks and crannies of a profoundly unfashionable building. The Two Pigs is Cheltenham’s most prolific live music venue. Take a trip down and show them, the bands and the Pigs itself, your support and gratitude because the place you live would be a lot worse off without them.

Toerag Promotions

Toerag Promotions are an ALL-NEW promotions team based in Cheltenham. Our aim is both simple and fantastic all at the same time. If you love live music you’ll love our shows. If you manage bands or you are in a band that would like to play in Cheltenham get in touch and we will do our best to find you a venue, support acts and promote your gig. We need your support to keep live music kicking, join us and come and see some incredible live acts.

Slak

Slak is a late night bar based in Bath Street that has been around for 8 years. We have live music and low-fi indie dj’s during the week then we funk it up at the weekends. We embrace local promoters and have thus played host to some of the most intimate performances the town has seen in recent years. Come as you are and wear what you like.

Meantime

Meantime is an independent, arts project-space located in Cheltenham town centre, which supports new work, experimentation and critical debate over the passive reproduction and display of art, and provides space for uncompromising musical experiences.
Alongside monthly artists’ residencies, projects and film screenings, the music events at Meantime have become a vital part of its existence since it opened two years ago. Co-ordinated by local musicians and promoters, such as Men Diamler and Stranger Songs, who seem to enjoy the scout-hut/village-hall ambience of the place, the music events are generally acoustic (after Israeli garage band The Werner Alarm played a while back), and can incorporate ‘left-of-centre Folkiness’, collaborative and improvised noise, multi-media stuff and jazz-funk DJ’s in cars. Meantime is located behind the Lower High St near the Brewery development in Oxford Passage.
